QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti has stated that the ratio of child immunization in the province has increased significantly, which, Alhamdulillah, is a historic achievement in the health sector.
In a post on social media platform X, the Chief Minister maintained that the significant improvement in the province’s public health sector is the result of the provincial government’s strong commitment and effective reform measures.
He stated that recent statistics show a notable increase in the rate of full immunization coverage among children in Balochistan, reflecting public confidence and better administrative strategies.
The Chief Minister shared that the Full Immunization Coverage (FIC), which had remained at only 38 percent from 2020 until recently, has now risen to 47 percent within a year. These figures were released under the Third Party Verification of Immunization Coverage Survey (TPVICS) conducted by Aga Khan University (AKU).
He said this progress proves that the provincial government’s reforms, administrative stability, and transparent strategies in the health sector are yielding results.
“If this momentum continues, the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) target of 70 percent coverage will be easily achieved”, he vowed.
The Chief Minister added that this success in the health sector ensures a safer and healthier future for every citizen of the province.
He appreciated the entire team of the Provincial Health Department and reaffirmed that the government would continue its mission of public service with renewed determination.
