KARACHI, Nov 9, 2025: The Sindh Health Department has reported 727 new dengue cases across the province during the past 24 hours, as 3,278 diagnostic tests were conducted — reflecting an overall decline in positivity rates, according to the latest official report.
Out of the total tests, 1,919 were conducted in Karachi, detecting 269 positive cases, while Hyderabad Division recorded 458 positives out of 1,359 tests.
Sindh Health Secretary Rehan Baloch said the declining trend in dengue positivity indicates progress in ongoing prevention and control efforts.
During the reporting period, 175 new dengue patients were admitted to public and private hospitals, while 150 patients recovered and were discharged. One dengue-related death was recorded in the province.
The monthly tally of dengue cases in Sindh has now reached 6,708, with 12,284 cases reported so far this year. Currently, 442 dengue patients are under treatment in hospitals across the province — 271 in government and 171 in private facilities.
Public hospitals have allocated 987 beds for dengue patients, including 256 in Karachi, 165 in Hyderabad, and 566 in other districts. Meanwhile, private hospitals have reserved 443 beds, with 164 in Karachi, 213 in Hyderabad, and 66 in other areas.
The Sindh dengue surveillance network continues to monitor 34 laboratories — 16 in Karachi and 18 in Hyderabad — to ensure timely reporting and containment of the virus.
