QUETTA, November 10:
A large-scale cleanliness and beautification drive has been launched in Quetta to restore the city’s environmental charm and ensure hygienic surroundings for citizens. The campaign, initiated under the Metropolitan Corporation Quetta and supported by the provincial government, aims to address garbage collection, drainage, and public sanitation issues.
Deputy Commissioner Quetta, along with representatives of the Public Health Engineering Department, Traffic Police, and local communities, inaugurated the drive at Meezan Chowk. Speaking to media, officials said the campaign reflects the government’s commitment to a cleaner, greener, and more livable Quetta.
Volunteers, students, and traders’ associations participated actively. The DC appealed to citizens to cooperate by maintaining cleanliness at public and private levels. The campaign will cover key markets, hospitals, bus terminals, and educational institutions in phases.
