Inter-Lingual Mushaira in Quetta Promotes Literary Harmony

QUETTA, November 10:

An inter-lingual Mushaira organized under the Directorate of Public Relations Balochistan celebrated the cultural unity of Pakistan through poetry and literature. The event brought together poets from Urdu, Balochi, Brahui, and Pashto backgrounds, reflecting the linguistic diversity and literary depth of the province.

 

DGPR Muhammad Noor Khetran, addressing the Mushaira, said that literature has the unique power to unite people and create cultural understanding. “Our poets are the true ambassadors of peace and creativity. Such gatherings reinforce our shared heritage and strengthen inter-provincial harmony,” he stated.

 

Renowned poets including Rasheed Bangulzai, Ustaad Asad Baloch, Abdul Rauf Panezai, and Shaista Khalid presented verses that drew loud applause. The audience, comprising students, writers, and journalists, lauded the initiative as a refreshing step by the government to revive the literary scene in Quetta.

 

Participants emphasized the need for regular literary events to engage youth and promote tolerance through artistic expression. The DGPR’s cultural initiative is part of a broader provincial policy encouraging intellectual and creative dialogue across communities.
