APC in Quetta Warns Against Unfair Local Elections Amid Security Threats and Restrictions

An All Parties Conference (APC) hosted by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam declared that conducting local government elections under fear, threats, and Section 144 restrictions would be non-transparent.
Leaders of JUI-F, BNP, PNAP, ANP, PPP, and JI agreed to form a joint committee to address civic and governance issues in Quetta.
They warned that any attempt to manipulate polls “on the pattern of Form-47 results” would be unacceptable, calling instead for fair, secure, and inclusive local elections.
