Gilgit: Additional Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan, Mushtaq Ahmed, conducted a detailed inspection of Lalkuan Stadium and the adjacent hockey ground to assess available facilities and arrangements for sports activities.
During the visit, he met with athletes and local residents to gather feedback on stadium infrastructure. Citizens highlighted issues including lack of cleanliness, inadequate lighting, insufficient designated areas for karate, and absence of a gymnasium.
The Additional Chief Secretary assured that all legitimate concerns would be addressed, and practical steps would be taken in consultation with relevant departments and stakeholders. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to promoting sports and providing enhanced facilities for youth, aiming to make Lalkuan Stadium and the hockey ground fully operational and up to standard.
