APNS Women Publishing Committee Delegation Meets DG Press & Information to Discuss Advertisement and Dues Issues

Islamabad, 12 November 2025: A delegation of the Women Publishing Committee of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) met Director General Press & Information Department, Ms. Arm Tanveer, at her office to discuss challenges faced by print media and Urdu journals. The delegation was led by Fauzia Shaheen, Chairperson and Editor-in-Chief of the monthly Dastak, and included Zahida Abbasi, Chief Editor of Daily Nosaj Karachi, and Haseena Jatoi, Editor-in-Chief of Daily Momal.
During the meeting, the delegation highlighted issues related to the fair issuance of advertisements, rates, and payment of outstanding dues. DG PID listened attentively and assured full support for the resolution of all highlighted concerns. She emphasized that supporting women-led publications is a priority and assured that the issues will be addressed promptly.
The delegation also met Director Information Sindh, Mr. Yousuf Kaboro, to discuss advertisement issuance and outstanding payments for print media and Urdu journals. Mr. Kaboro assured that women publishers’ journals are a top priority and that necessary steps will be taken to ensure timely resolution and payment of dues.
The APNS delegation expressed gratitude for the cooperation extended by both DG PID, Government of Pakistan, and Director Public Relations, Government of Sindh, highlighting their commitment to supporting women-led media publications.
