Islamabad — November 15, 2025:
His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan arrived in Pakistan on Friday, marking the first official visit by a Jordanian monarch in over two decades.
As the royal aircraft entered Pakistani airspace, a formation of Pakistan Air Force JF-17 Thunder jets escorted the plane to Islamabad, offering a ceremonial and protective welcome.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif received King Abdullah II at Nur Khan Airbase. First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, federal ministers, and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari were also present.
President Zardari said King Abdullah’s visit would open a new strategic chapter in Pakistan–Jordan relations. He emphasized that bilateral ties are rooted in historic brotherhood, mutual trust, and shared values.
