Nasirabad Division: Deputy Commissioner Khalid Khan conducted a detailed inspection of several ongoing development projects under the supervision of the Urban Planning and Development Department. The visit included blacktop road schemes from Khan Wah to Goth Timur Khan Jamali and Goth Rahim Khan Jamali.
During the tour, Sub-Divisional Officer Urban Planning and Development, Gehram Khan Katohar, briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the current status, quality, and completion stages of the projects. Khalid Khan also inspected renovation works at the Hindu temple, installation of solar street lights, sewerage system rehabilitation, and turf tile laying, along with other development initiatives. Imtiaz Ali Kurd accompanied him during the visit.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the drainage systems in the district, including the Carrier Drain 2 and Outfall Drain, focusing on structural reinforcement and rehabilitation efforts. Sub-Divisional Officer Irrigation & Drainage, Abid Ali Khosa, informed him that all works were completed in accordance with departmental standards and subjected to strict monitoring to ensure timely completion under PC-1 projects. The lining of Qaiser Wah Phase 2 has also been successfully completed. Karim Bakhsh Joyia was present during this inspection.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Khalid Khan appreciated the officials’ efforts in ensuring timely execution of public welfare projects. He emphasized that periodic monitoring of all development initiatives is crucial to deliver long-term benefits for the community. He added that ensuring high-quality implementation according to PC-1 standards remains the administration’s top priority.
The Deputy Commissioner also visited the rehabilitated water supply scheme in Turkish Housing Scheme, Dera Allah Yar, issuing necessary instructions to officials for further improvement.
