CM Balochistan Vows to Empower Women, Highlights Key Role in Governance

Quetta, 20 November 2025: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, emphasized the government’s commitment to women’s empowerment during a meeting with women members of the Provincial Assembly, led by Deputy Speaker and Chairperson of the Women Parliamentarian Caucus, Ghazala Gola. He stated that women’s active participation in leadership, decision-making, and development processes is a top priority for his administration. “We will take every possible step to strengthen and empower women politically, socially, and economically,” the Chief Minister said, adding that their role in legislation, policy-making, and public welfare initiatives is vital for the province’s progress.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on proposals and initiatives aimed at enhancing women’s welfare and representation. Mir Sarfraz Bugti highlighted that women legislators’ contributions to public policy and development efforts have been commendable and will continue to be integrated into budgetary and legislative planning.

A key outcome of the meeting was the decision to establish a special endowment fund for the Women Parliamentarian Caucus in Balochistan. The Chief Minister noted that strengthening the caucus will facilitate more effective solutions to women’s issues and ensure their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
