A 40-year-old woman was tragically killed in a shooting inside her residence near Adalat Road, Hub, early Sunday morning, sparking an immediate police investigation.
The deceased has been identified as Hafeez, wife of Ishaq Kanwal, who was a housewife.
According to authorities:
The incident occurred within the family home, though the motive behind the attack is still under investigation.
Following the shooting, Hafeez’s body was transported to Hub Civil Hospital via an Edhi ambulance for medico-legal formalities.
The Hub Beroot Police Station has registered a case and launched a formal investigation. Law enforcement officials are collecting evidence and questioning potential witnesses to determine the circumstances of the fatal attack.
The police have assured the public that all necessary measures will be taken to apprehend those responsible and bring them to justice.
