Women University Mardan Convenes 8th Project Steering Committee Meeting to Review Developmental Progress

Islamabad – Women University Mardan (WUM) convened the 8th meeting of its Project Steering Committee (PSC) under the chairpersonship of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana, to review the progress of the university’s ongoing developmental projects.The university is currently executing three major development schemes, two funded by the Federal Government and one by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), including Mr.Syed Naveed Shah, Mr.Zobaid Anwar from the Higher Education Department (HED), Mr.Waqar Ahmad Turo (Technical Expert), Mr. Adnan Ahmad, Registrar, Mr Adnan Masood, Director P&D, Mr. Fahim Shah Treasurer, Mr. Nasir Hussain , Project Director along with other consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders.The Project Director delivered a comprehensive presentation on the status of each project, followed by detailed discussions on implementation progress, existing challenges, and expected timelines for completion.
The Vice Chancellor emphasized the need to expedite the pace of work while maintaining strict adherence to quality standards, noting that the timely completion of these development projects is essential to making the university’s new campus fully functional as early as possible.
To address bottlenecks affecting project execution, consultants and contractors briefed the committee on the technical and operational issues being encountered.They assured the committee of their full cooperation in resolving these challenges without delay.The Director General (Monitoring) of HEC and the representative of HED reaffirmed their complete support, especially regarding the timely release of funds.
Appreciating the contributions of partner agencies, Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana stated that such high level review meetings are crucial for ensuring transparency, strengthening coordination, and sustaining progress across all development initiatives.
The meeting concluded with a unanimous commitment from all stakeholders to accelerate ongoing work and collectively support the early operationalization of the new campus of Women University Mardan.
