ISLAMABAD — Inspector General National Highways and Motorway Police B.A. Nasir said that the martyrs are the “crown of national pride” while addressing the closing ceremony of the All Pakistan Motorway Police Sports Festival, officials said on Monday. He announced that inaugurations of buildings and facilities would be carried out by families of martyrs rather than senior officers.
Speaking to newly inducted UT constables, the IG said all recruitments were made on merit and urged officers to perform duties with honesty and commitment, adding that sports promote discipline and mental strength within the force.
The Training College Sheikhupura was declared overall champion for the third consecutive time, securing top positions in cricket, tug of war, table tennis, and athletics events. The IG awarded trophies and commended the winning teams for their performance.
