ISLAMABAD — The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out nine intelligence-based operations across the country, arresting seven suspects — including a woman — and seizing 655.80 kilograms of narcotics valued at more than Rs 686 million.

According to ANF, a targeted operation near Yaru Railway Crossing in Pishin led to the recovery of 7kg of hashish from a motorcyclist who confessed to supplying drugs to students of educational institutions.

In an international interdiction effort, officials seized 6 grams of cocaine from a parcel arriving from the Netherlands at a courier facility in Chaklala Garrison, Rawalpindi.

Multiple domestic operations yielded significant narcotics seizures, including 14kg of hashish near a hotel in Yaru, Pishin; another 14kg near Eastern Bypass, Quetta; and 12kg from a vehicle near National Highway, Hyderabad.

In Islamabad, ANF recovered 1.8kg of ice and 800 grams of opium from a man and woman traveling in a vehicle near Bela Road, Sector G-10. Another 7.2kg of hashish was seized near Mandi Mor.

Separately, 100kg of ice was recovered from Sui Karez in District Chaman, while a major haul of 499kg of hashish was seized near Khalilabad, Satellite Town in Turbat, District Kech.

Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA) 1997, and further investigations are underway.
