Karachi: The Directorate of Health Sindh has issued its daily update on the dengue situation, confirming that the outbreak remains under control despite a rise in reported cases across the province. According to the report, 43 new dengue patients were admitted to government hospitals, while 34 cases were recorded in private hospitals, bringing the total number of admitted patients to 71.
In Karachi Division, 25 new patients were admitted to government hospitals, while Hyderabad reported 9 new cases. The Health Department noted that 42 patients in government hospitals and 45 in private facilities have recovered and been discharged. No deaths were reported in the past 24 hours.
Laboratory testing across Sindh recorded 3,328 samples, with 260 positive cases. Karachi laboratories reported 147 positive cases, and Hyderabad laboratories recorded 113. The Director General of Health Sindh urged citizens to maintain cleanliness, avoid stagnant water, and adhere strictly to dengue prevention measures.
