Quetta: President of Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Haji Muhammad Ayub Meriani, emphasized urgent exploration of alternative trade routes following the closure of the Afghan route. Speaking with local business leaders, he stressed that delays could jeopardize millions of dollars in trade orders. Meriani highlighted the potential use of Iran and other routes and called on banks to provide timely facilitation to sustain bilateral commerce. He also confirmed a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif next week to discuss measures for promoting lawful trade and safeguarding livelihoods in Balochistan.
