Islamabad: SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, chaired a late-night meeting with zonal SPs, SDPOs, and SHOs to review law enforcement strategies and assign key tasks to ensure public safety in the city.
The SSP directed strict action against illegal Afghan residents, holding SHOs responsible for any violations within their jurisdictions. Crackdowns will also target land grabbers, illegal weapons possession, public displays of arms, and cases of indiscriminate firing.
Under the “Nasha Ab Nahin” campaign, intensified operations against drug traffickers will continue. SSP Raza ordered immediate arrests of active gang members, repeat offenders, and those involved in vehicle thefts. Enhanced night patrolling and visible field presence of police units were emphasized.
Zonal SPs, SDPOs, and SHOs will hold office hours from 3 PM to 5 PM to address public grievances under community policing initiatives. Weekly performance of the Dolphin Squad will be personally reviewed by SSP Operations, with rewards for merit and penalties for negligence. Officers were urged to treat their duties as a sacred responsibility to maintain law and order in Islamabad.
