Assistant Commissioner Miran Shah, Shah Wali Khan, was martyred on Tuesday in a terrorist attack in North Waziristan, the Provincial Management Service (PMS) Association confirmed. Two security personnel deployed for his protection were also martyred in the assault.
Shah Wali Khan, born on March 10, 1990, was widely respected as one of the most committed officers in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Management Service. The PMS Association praised his “exceptional dedication, unyielding integrity and unshakeable commitment to public service.”
In a statement, the Association expressed deep sorrow, calling the incident a major tragedy for the PMS community and the province. It extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, reaffirming solidarity with them in their hour of grief.
The statement noted that Shah Wali’s martyrdom reflects his unwavering courage and devotion to duty, adding that his sacrifice “will not go in vain” and that he will be remembered as an enduring symbol of bravery and selflessness.
The Association prayed for the highest ranks in Jannah for the martyred officer and patience for his family. The release, signed by PMS Association Chairman Noman Wazir, was shared with senior provincial officials, including the Chief Secretary and the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister.
