QUETTA — The Balochistan government has placed 27 high-risk districts under the full operational control of the police, while nine districts will continue to function under the Levies system.
According to officials, the decision is part of an ongoing security restructuring aimed at improving law-enforcement response, strengthening counterterrorism capabilities and ensuring uniform policing standards across sensitive regions.
Authorities said the reorganization would help streamline command structures and enhance coordination among security agencies. The government is expected to issue further guidelines as implementation progresses.
