The Municipal Committee Loralai has launched a major mechanical sanitation and drainage-clearing operation across key city zones as part of efforts to improve overall cleanliness and wastewater flow.
The initiative, ordered by Commissioner Loralai Wali Mohammad Badich and Chairman Municipal Committee Tahir Khan Nasir, is being supervised directly by Chief Officer Mohebullah Baloch. Heavy machinery is clearing years-old debris, stones and sewage waste from main drains in Bakhma Mohallah, Adda Market and the vegetable market.
Officials said the operation will continue late into the night to avoid inconvenience to residents. Citizens welcomed the campaign, noting visible improvement in municipal services. Experts say the operation will significantly reduce urban flooding risks during monsoon.
