DG ISPR Maj. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry Holds Comprehensive Press Conference on National Security, Counter-Terrorism, and Defense Readiness

Rawalpindi, December 5, 2025: Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Maj. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, held a detailed press conference at ISPR headquarters, briefing media on national security, border management, internal security, counter-terrorism operations, and operational readiness of Pakistan Armed Forces.

On recent border tensions, Maj. Gen. Chaudhry stated, “Our forces remain fully alert and maintain robust surveillance along all borders. Any attempts to destabilize peace will be effectively countered, ensuring Pakistan’s sovereignty.”

Regarding internal security, he said, “Intelligence-driven counter-terrorism operations continue nationwide. The military provides active support to law enforcement agencies to enhance operational effectiveness against threats and maintain stability.”

On defense preparedness, he emphasized, “The Armed Forces maintain high operational readiness through regular exercises, modernization programs, and rigorous training, ensuring capability to respond to any security challenge efficiently.”

Maj. Gen. Chaudhry also highlighted military engagement with local communities near sensitive zones, stressing awareness and cooperation to prevent incidents and safeguard civilians.

He further underscored the importance of transparency, stating that timely and accurate updates are vital for public awareness. Concluding the briefing, Maj. Gen. Chaudhry reaffirmed the Pakistan Armed Forces’ commitment to national defense, internal security, peace, and regional stability.

Journalists commended the detailed briefing, noting that it provided clear insight into ongoing operations and the proactive measures undertaken by the military to protect the country.
