LAHORE: Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar on Sunday said Pakistan’s enemies fear the country’s armed forces and the leadership of Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. Addressing a public gathering after inaugurating development works in Union Council 240 Shabir Chowk, he said anyone criticizing an army that defeated an enemy five times larger “should be ashamed.”
He said signs of progress across Pakistan reflected PML-N’s governance, crediting major projects to Nawaz Sharif’s leadership and Punjab-wide initiatives under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. Tarar accused PTI of ruining Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over 12 years, saying no major school, hospital or university was built there. The minister said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif saved the country from economic collapse, with rising reserves and declining inflation proving improved economic direction. He added that those choosing personal agendas over national interest “would continue to fail.”
