Islamabad, Dec 8, 2025: In a strategic move to boost Pakistan’s meat export potential and strengthen its presence in high-value regional markets, the National Logistics Corporation (NLC) has commenced transportation of beef to China, Central Asia, and other neighboring countries via the Khunjerab Pass.

The NLC Logistics Hub in Kashgar has emerged as a key facility, ensuring an efficient and reliable supply chain for meat exports through the Khunjerab Corridor. Equipped with NLC’s modern reefer fleet, the hub guarantees strict temperature control and maintains product integrity throughout transit.

Through its expertise in logistics and transit management, NLC delivers consignments from various cities in Pakistan to China in under a week. Each reefer unit can carry up to 26 tonnes of premium-grade meat, creating significant opportunities for Pakistan’s agricultural economy.

The initiative is expected to benefit farmers and meat processing units, support the expansion of meat processing facilities, and contribute meaningfully to the country’s foreign exchange earnings, highlighting NLC’s growing role in advancing Pakistan’s cold-chain logistics sector.
