A one-day safety seminar was held in Turbat under QESCO’s Safety and Health Environment Cell to highlight measures for protecting line staff during field operations. The session focused on preventing electricity theft, ensuring strict compliance with safety protocols and improving service delivery to consumers.
Chief Executive Engineer Yusuf Shah Khan attended the seminar as chief guest, while the Central Joint President of the All Pakistan WAPDA Hydro Electric Workers Union, Haji Ramzan Achakzai, presided over the event.
A large number of officers and employees participated, reaffirming commitment to safe working practices. Addressing the gathering, the CEO instructed line staff to strictly follow safety procedures when working on power lines, noting that “there is no substitute for a human life.” He also conveyed well-wishes for the early recovery of injured lineman Bakhtiar Amin.
