KARACHI ( ): Chairman of the FPCCI UAE Business Council, Diwan Fakhruddin, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the leadership, people and the Pakistani community residing in the United Arab Emirates on the occasion of UAE National Day.
He stated that this day is not only a significant milestone in the UAE’s unity and progress but also holds special importance for Pakistan, as relations between the two countries have flourished for decades on the foundations of brotherhood, mutual trust, respect, and extensive economic cooperation.
Diwan Fakhruddin sincerely thanked the UAE Consul General, Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Ali Alayan Alremeithi, stating that by establishing the Visa Facilitation Center in Karachi, he has taken a highly significant and commendable step for the business community. The establishment of this center will effectively resolve the challenges faced in obtaining visas and will greatly facilitate business activities. We appreciate his efforts and hope that this initiative will further strengthen the economic and trade relations between Pakistan and other countries.
Diwan Fakhruddin said that the relationship between Pakistan and the UAE is not merely diplomatic but has evolved into a strategic partnership. Economic and trade ties between the two countries continue to strengthen each year. The remarkable increase in bilateral trade, growing investment opportunities, and the launching of joint ventures are clear indicators of this strong bond.
He highlighted that energy, renewable energy, construction, port infrastructure, agriculture, minerals, food security, supply chain, and logistics are the core sectors of economic cooperation between the two nations. UAE’s investment in Pakistan is steadily rising, while Pakistani entrepreneurs and investors are also playing an active role in the UAE’s economy.
Emphasizing the importance of the Pakistani community in the UAE, Diwan Fakhruddin said that Pakistanis act as a diplomatic, economic, and cultural bridge between the two countries. Pakistani engineers, doctors, construction experts, technicians, businesspersons, and professionals from various fields have not only contributed to the UAE’s development but have also strengthened Pakistan’s global reputation.
He added that in the future economy, sectors such as digital economy, fintech, e-commerce, smart trade platforms, green technology, water management, modern agriculture, and food processing offer excellent opportunities for mutual cooperation. UAE financial institutions are actively exploring new investment prospects in Pakistan’s infrastructure, technology, housing, logistics, and strategic sectors.
