QUETTA: The first phase of the Artificial Intelligence-based attendance system for employees of the Balochistan Health Department has been completed.
In this phase, employees of all district headquarter hospitals (DHQs) and medical colleges were registered, and all staff working in medical centers in Quetta, including Lady Health Workers, have been incorporated into the AI system.
According to the sources of Health Department, out of a total of 36,000 employees, registration of some 13,000 employees has been completed in the first phase.
It is worth mentioning that this system monitors and records attendance through AI cameras and a mobile application.
The sources stated that implementation of this system has improved attendance discipline in hospitals and health facilities.
In addition to this, the process of deducting salaries of absentee employees has also been started.
According to the sources of Health Department, registration of around 23,000 employees is underway in the second phase, and instructions have been issued to complete the registration of all employees by December 31, 2025.
