DC Kalat Reviews Health Sector Performance, Stresses Accountability of Doctors and Staff

Kalat – Under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kalat, Minar Ahmed Durrani, the monthly meeting of the District Health Management Committee was held to review ongoing health sector operations and address key issues. The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Kalat Tahir Sanjrani, Acting DHO Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Norzai, MS Teaching Hospital Dr. Nasrullah Lango, DSM PPHI Mujeeb Baloch, in-charge RHC Mande Haji Dr. Manzoor, District Accounts Officer Abdul Fattah, SDO B&R Engineer Naveed Musiani, Drug Inspector Dr. Muhammad Tahir, Population Officer Muhammad Azam, District Medicine Store in-charge Dr. Wasim Lango, and Superintendent DHO Office Rizwan Haider.

The meeting focused on hospital staffing issues, attendance of doctors and technical staff, shortages of personnel, transfers and postings of doctors, provision of medicines in hospitals, ambulance and basic facilities in BHUs, and actions against absentee or quack doctors.

Deputy Commissioner Minar Ahmed Durrani emphasized that a healthy society is essential for overall development. He instructed doctors and technical staff to ensure regular attendance at their assigned posts and warned that negligence or laxity would not be tolerated. He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to providing citizens with quality health services and stated that the district administration will continue to fully support the health department, underlining that no compromise will be made regarding public health standards.
