Independent Report
Khaliqabad, Kalat Division, December 17, 2025: Following the directives of Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, the district administration of Kalat, led by Assistant Commissioner Khaliqabad Dr. Ali Gul Omrani, organized an open court (khuli kachahri) to hear public grievances. Officials from all departments, political and tribal leaders, and a large number of residents attended the event.
During the session, prominent participants including Haji Chakar Khan, Mir Noor Ahmad, Muhammad Yousuf, Haji Ghulam Nabi, and Ali Nawaz highlighted issues such as prolonged power load-shedding, lack of gas supply, shortage of clean drinking water, inadequate medicines and staff in hospitals, and delays in National Highway widening projects.
Dr. Ali Gul Omrani said the open court, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Minar Drani, provides a direct platform for the public to voice issues and ensures their prompt resolution. He added that while most concerns have been addressed, issues beyond the district administration’s scope are being communicated to the provincial government. He urged local elders and journalists to cooperate with the administration for effective identification and resolution of public issues.
Attendees appreciated the initiative, describing the open court as a welcome and proactive measure, allowing residents to freely share concerns and receive practical solutions from the administration.
