Hyderabad – Chief Justice of Sindh High Court, Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput, urged lawyers to uphold the sanctity of the legal profession, emphasizing that public trust in the judiciary relies on lawyers’ ethical conduct. Addressing the High Court Bar Association’s welcome dinner, he warned that providing illegal or unethical advice undermines the rule of law and holds the legal community accountable. He emphasized that lawyers must ensure all guidance is fully compliant with the law, stressing their duty in guaranteeing fair and impartial justice. “Lawyers play a crucial role in maintaining societal order,” Justice Rajput said. Any deviation from ethical standards not only damages public confidence but also affects the credibility of the entire judicial system. The Chief Justice called for continuous professional responsibility, encouraging lawyers to reinforce transparency, integrity, and accountability within legal practice. His remarks come amid ongoing efforts to strengthen judicial oversight and enhance legal professionalism across Sindh, ensuring that all citizens have equal access to justice.
