Independent Report
Rawalpindi: Pakistan’s Security Forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation in the general area of Khar, Bajaur District, on December 29, eliminating five Indian-sponsored terrorists linked to Fitna al Khwarij, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
ISPR said the operation was launched on confirmed intelligence regarding the presence of the militants. Troops engaged the terrorists with precision, neutralizing all five during a fierce exchange of fire. A cache of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the killed terrorists, who were involved in multiple attacks against security forces, law enforcement agencies, and innocent civilians.
During the operation, Major Adeel Zaman, 36, a resident of Dera Ismail Khan, embraced martyrdom while leading his troops from the front. ISPR paid tribute to his bravery, stating that the officer fought gallantly and made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
Sanitization operations are ongoing to clear the area of any remaining threats, while the counterterrorism campaign under “Azm-e-Istehkam” continues with full resolve.
