Turbat: Faculty members of the University of Turbat (UoT) have successfully conducted skill development workshops for students of affiliated colleges under the Balochistan Youth Socioeconomic Development Program (BYSEDP), aimed at enhancing employability and career readiness among youth.
The training sessions were held at Government Girls Degree College Panjgur, Atta Shad Degree College Turbat, and Girls Degree College Turbat, and were led by Dr. Ghulam Jan, Chairperson of the Management Sciences Department. Senior UoT faculty members, including Dr. Waseem Barkat, Mr. Noroz Khan, Ms. Ruqia Mirwani, Mr. Mumtaz Ahmed, and lecturer Ms. Huma Imdad, served as trainers.
Participants received practical training in communication and interpersonal skills, leadership, entrepreneurship, career counseling, CV writing, digital presence, and interview techniques through interactive and mock sessions.
Dr. Ghulam Jan said the initiative reflects the provincial government’s commitment to youth empowerment under the Balochistan Youth Policy 2024. University spokesperson said UoT, under Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, will continue collaborating with governments to equip youth with modern skills for dignified livelihoods.
