Usta Muhammad: Growing incidents of armed robberies and deteriorating law and order triggered a strong public reaction in Usta Muhammad, where traders and residents staged a protest on the Sindh–Balochistan National Highway. Led by prominent trader Muhammad Khan and former All Parties Citizens Action Committee president Maulana Abdul Majeed Jatak, protesters accused local police of failing to protect lives and businesses. The sit-in at the Area Laro point disrupted traffic for several hours, severing road links between Sindh and Balochistan and causing long queues of vehicles.
Demonstrators chanted slogans against the police administration and demanded the immediate transfer of officers allegedly appointed on political grounds. Traders said criminals were operating freely, looting citizens at gunpoint and escaping without fear, forcing businesses to operate under constant threat. The protest ended after successful negotiations by Tehsildar Ali Gohar Magasi and DSP Muhammad Dawood Khoso, who assured action on security concerns. Traffic was later restored, though traders warned of renewed protests if crime is not curbed.
