HYDERABAD: A severe surge in mosquitoes has created alarming conditions in Latifabad, particularly in Units 8, 11, and 12, where residents are facing sleepless nights and growing health concerns. Children, women, and the elderly are the worst affected.

Locals warn of a high risk of malaria, dengue, and other diseases due to the unchecked mosquito population and alleged negligence by concerned departments. Citizens have demanded immediate emergency spraying and fogging operations and urged UC chairmen to be placed on high alert.

Appeals have been made to Mayor Hyderabad Kashif Shoro, Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad, Town Chairman Shah Latifabad Osama Hafeez Khan, and the Director Anti-Malaria to take urgent notice. Residents cautioned that any disease outbreak would be the responsibility of the authorities if timely action is not taken.
