Bela, Jan 4, 2026 – Independent Report: Balochistan witnessed 24,484 traffic accidents from January 1 to December 31, 2025, resulting in 430 deaths and 33,972 injuries, according to the annual report of the Medical Emergency Response Centers.
The highest number of accidents occurred on N-50 Zhob, N-25 Turbat-Khuzdar, and N-25 Winder highways. During this period, 3,259 outpatient services were also provided to accident victims.
Local communities criticized government negligence and driver carelessness as the main causes of accidents. They called for strict enforcement of traffic laws, improved road infrastructure, and effective safety measures to ensure citizens can travel safely across the province
