Gandakha, Jan 4, 2026 – Independent Report: Residents of Usta Muhammad have raised an urgent demand for a local passport office. Currently, citizens travel 30–45 km to neighboring districts for passport services, facing financial, physical, and mental hardships.
Elderly citizens, women, and people from remote villages are particularly affected. Citizens emphasized that in the era of rising inflation, unnecessary travel costs and repeated office visits are unbearable for the middle and lower-income groups.
Authorities are urged to establish a passport office locally to ensure accessibility and reduce public inconvenience
