Quetta, January 5:
Provincial Minister for Communications and Works, Mir Saleem Ahmed Khosa, stressed that Balochistan’s socio-economic development depends on the efficiency of the Communications and Works (C&W) Department. He called for stronger accountability measures to ensure timely execution of infrastructure projects.
During a review meeting, the minister expressed concern over project delays, labeling inefficiency as “unacceptable.” Two executive engineers were suspended for poor performance, and staff were directed to monitor progress rigorously.
Minister Khosa highlighted that modern infrastructure, quality roads, and civic facilities are critical for the province’s growth. He urged adherence to transparency, efficiency, and commitment in all ongoing projects, emphasizing that consistent departmental performance is key to improving living standards and facilitating sustainable development across Balochistan.
