Karachi, January 5, 2026:
Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Senator Rubina Khalid visited the Tehsil Office Aram Bagh and the Dynamic Registry Center in Karachi, where she interacted with deserving women and reviewed registration facilities.
Addressing the media, she said BISP is Pakistan’s largest social protection programme and that, for the first time, digital accounts of 10 million women are being opened to ensure transparency and eliminate fraud. She emphasized that SIMs for the Social Protection Wallet are being provided free of cost.
Senator Khalid said the Benazir Hunarmand Programme aims to make beneficiaries economically independent by providing modern skills training to women and their families. She urged citizens to report any fraud in the name of BISP, assuring strict action.
She added that fresh surveys will be conducted every three years to include more deserving families in the programme
