Quetta, January 6: Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti chaired the Board of Governance meeting of the Balochistan Center of Excellence on Counter Violent Extremism. CM Bugti stated that baseless propaganda against the state fosters unrest, instability, and violence, emphasizing the need to guide all segments, especially youth, toward facts. He stressed institutional collaboration, integrated strategies, and modernized measures to curb extremism. CM Bugti highlighted that educational institutions and social media platforms would promote positive narratives, safeguarding youth from misleading influences. Attendees included Chief Secretary Shakil Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Home Hamza Shafqat, IG Police Muhammad Tahir Khan, and other senior officials. The CM also announced integration of the Levies Force into the police to ensure uniform law enforcement across the province. The meeting reviewed ongoing counter-extremism initiatives, overall law and order, and directed coordinated action by relevant departments.
