Quetta, January 6: Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti chaired a high-level meeting on low-BTU gas-based industrial projects at the Chief Minister Secretariat. Officials reviewed technical feasibility studies and approved commercial launch of projects, issuing Expression of Interest (EOI) notices for local and international investors. Proposed industrial plants in Quetta and Sui include fertilizer, cement, energy, ceramics, and other value-added industries aimed at promoting sustainable economic activity by utilizing local resources. CM Bugti emphasized that investors must prioritize employment for local skilled workers. The projects are expected to boost provincial revenue and create extensive job opportunities, strengthening the local economy. The CM stressed a transparent, competitive, and investor-friendly process to build confidence in serious investors. Steps were also outlined for assessing potential sites, infrastructure, and logistics to ensure smooth implementation of industrial initiatives.
