Quetta, January 6: The Balochistan government announced promotions within the police department. DSP Muhammad Umar (BPS-17) has been promoted to Superintendent of Police (SP/BPS-18) in the FSL cadre, effective November 18, 2025. Simultaneously, DSP Taj Muhammad (BPS-17) has been elevated to SP/BPS-18 in the Telecommunication cadre. The promotion reflects recognition of officers’ service and professional performance, enhancing leadership capacity within the provincial police force. These advancements aim to strengthen operational efficiency, accountability, and administrative capability across Balochistan’s law enforcement institutions.
