Punjab Horticulture Authority (PHA) Director General Naheed Gul Baloch has directed the heads of newly established district horticulture agencies to submit comprehensive plans for launching operations in their respective cities.
The directive was issued during a meeting with managing directors of 11 newly formed agencies, which will operate in Jhang, Rahim Yar Khan, Khushab, Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura, Okara, Gujrat, Jhelum, Murree, Khanewal and Muzaffargarh. The agencies were recently notified by the provincial government.
The PHA director general instructed the managing directors to present clear roadmaps and propose initiatives aimed at improving horticulture and enhancing urban aesthetics. She emphasised that PHA remains committed to promoting a greener Punjab in line with the chief minister’s vision, with special focus on remote districts.
To ensure a smooth transition, District Transition Teams headed by relevant deputy commissioners will oversee the transfer of assets and staff from municipal committees. Managing directors were also directed to arrange PHA-logo uniforms for employees.
