Deputy Commissioner Qila Saifullah Sagar Kumar emphasized that education is the foundation of sustainable development and prosperity, reaffirming the district administration’s commitment to improving education quality.
Speaking at a District Education Group (DEG) meeting, attended by education officials and stakeholders, the deputy commissioner reviewed school performance, enrollment trends, dropout rates, infrastructure needs, teacher attendance, and student outcomes.
The meeting discussed provision of basic facilities, school rehabilitation, clean drinking water, toilets, electricity, teacher training, and monitoring mechanisms, particularly in remote areas. Special focus was placed on girls’ education, community engagement, and strengthening school management committees.
Deputy Commissioner Kumar directed departments to enhance field monitoring, ensure teacher attendance, and improve instructional standards. He warned that negligence would not be tolerated and stressed collective responsibility to deliver measurable results.
Participants agreed on a joint strategy and actionable recommendations to strengthen the education system, aiming to provide quality learning environments and long-term educational progress across the district.
