Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday stated that the overall security situation in Balochistan has witnessed significant improvement due to coordinated efforts by the provincial government and security institutions. He praised the Balochistan government under Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti for its initiatives in promoting development, strengthening political harmony, maintaining law and order, and ensuring effective redressal of public complaints.
During a high-level meeting, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan briefed the Prime Minister on reforms, progress of development projects, and measures taken in education, health, governance, and public service delivery. Federal Ministers Professor Ahsan Iqbal, Aleem Khan, Rana Sanaullah, and provincial political leaders attended the meeting.
The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the success of intelligence-based operations, noting that 784 terrorists had been neutralized during various security actions. He said these efforts have contributed to restoring peace in the province.
Reaffirming federal support, the Prime Minister pledged full cooperation with the provincial government to ensure Balochistan’s development, stability, and public welfare through sustained and result-oriented measures.
