Law Minister, University of London Discuss Legal Education Partnership

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar met a delegation from the University of London led by Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor Philip Allmendinger to discuss cooperation in legal education.
The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between international institutions and Pakistani universities through joint and partnership-based academic programmes. The minister said such cooperation would help improve the quality of legal education, create sustainable revenue streams, and expand access to globally recognised qualifications.
He stressed the importance of integrating distance learning with on-campus academic activities to enable students to practice effectively within Pakistan’s legal framework. Director Directorate of Legal Education Barrister Usama Malik informed the minister about the inclusion of a Pakistani law module in the University of London’s LLB (Hons) programme.
Faculty development, exchange and training initiatives were also discussed. The University of London delegation welcomed Pakistan’s support for long-term academic partnerships.
