Quetta: Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) has announced scheduled power outages in various areas of Quetta and surrounding regions due to development, testing, and maintenance work on electricity infrastructure.
According to a QESCO spokesperson, on January 15 (Thursday), electricity supply will remain suspended from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM from Saryab Grid Station feeders including Saryab-I, Saryab-II, Samungli Express, WASA, Industrial, A-One City, and Sirki Road. On the same day, power outages will occur from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM from Zarghoon Grid Station feeders (Nawan Killi Bypass, Alam Khan, Malik, Sahibzada) and Sheikh Manda Grid Station feeders (Airport Road, Takatu, Adiyan, Chashma, Dostain, Umar, and Darim).
On January 16 (Friday), outages are scheduled from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM from Saryab Grid Station feeders including Khair Bakhsh Marri, Joint Road, Liaquat Bazaar, New Jan Muhammad, Old Jan Muhammad, Hazara Town, and Ghazi. Additionally, Sheikh Manda Grid Station feeders Western Bypass, Jabal Noor, and Kharotabad will remain without power from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
Furthermore, due to construction of a new feeder from Quetta NUST Grid Station, electricity supply to Sheikh Muhammad Bin Zayed Hospital and NUST University feeders will remain suspended from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on January 15. Power supply from Dera Bugti Grid Station will also remain disrupted from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM due to maintenance work on the 132kV transmission line.
QESCO has expressed regret for the inconvenience and requested consumers’ cooperation during the maintenance period.
