Istanbul: Turkish authorities arrested 14 illegal Afghan migrants in Sanliurfa, who were hiding in a truck. Three facilitators helping illegal migration were also detained. Over the past year, Turkey apprehended 152,000 illegal migrants, with Afghan nationals accounting for 42,000. This crackdown follows stricter measures across Europe, including Germany and Iran. Experts note that Taliban policies have not curbed illegal migration, making short-term improvements unlikely. Migrants are being deported to designated centers, and Turkish authorities continue to monitor cross-border movements to prevent security risks.
