Islamabad/Quetta/Karachi, January 22: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out five successful operations across different cities, arresting five drug traffickers and recovering 195.22 kilograms of narcotics worth over Rs235 million.
According to an ANF spokesperson, 875 grams of ice and 90 grams of heroin were recovered from the luggage of a passenger heading for Umrah at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, leading to his arrest.
In domestic interdiction efforts, 78 kilograms of hashish were seized from a vehicle near Kuchlak Bypass in Quetta and two suspects were arrested. Another operation near Chungi No. 26 in Islamabad resulted in the recovery of 18 kilograms of hashish. In Rawalpindi, 2.2 kilograms of hashish were seized near a hospital on GT Road.
In a separate operation near Kuchlak Bypass, Quetta, ANF recovered 61 kilograms of ice. Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and investigations are underway.
