Quetta: Provincial Health Minister and Pakistan Peoples Party leader Bakht Muhammad Kakar has underscored that the Balochistan government is concentrating its efforts on tackling the province’s most urgent development challenges—education, health, and water supply.

Addressing reporters on Saturday, Minister Kakar highlighted that the administration is implementing strategic measures to strengthen these critical sectors. He stressed that resolving the pressing concerns of teachers and doctors is crucial to raising the standard of hospitals and schools throughout Balochistan.

“The active presence of doctors in hospitals can greatly alleviate patient hardships, while teachers must diligently perform their roles to ensure students here can compete academically with peers from other provinces. This province belongs to all of us, and we must treat it as our home to achieve real progress,” Kakar said.

He noted that under the guidance of the Chief Minister of Balochistan, the government is conducting targeted, emergency-based initiatives across all districts to enhance healthcare services, educational quality, and access to safe drinking water. Strengthening hospital facilities, he added, remains a primary responsibility of the provincial administration.

On the recent Grand Alliance protest, the minister acknowledged that it had been successfully resolved following constructive discussions with the government, praising the Chief Minister for playing a pivotal role in ending the standoff. He expressed optimism that teachers would return to their classrooms, contributing to students’ education and supporting Balochistan’s future development.

Concluding, Kakar emphasized that the resolution of the protest reinforces the importance of merit-based governance over corrupt practices as a cornerstone for sustainable development and effective administration in the province.
