Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said education is the foundation of sustainable development, economic self-reliance, and social stability, reiterating the provincial government’s commitment to long-term education reforms. In a message on World Education Day, he said the government is implementing practical measures to establish an effective, uniform, and quality education system across the province.
He said more than 3,200 long-closed schools have been reactivated through decisive steps, bringing thousands of out-of-school children back into the education system. The chief minister added that reforms are not limited to statements but include teacher attendance enforcement, effective school monitoring, transparent appointments, efficient use of resources, and accountability mechanisms. He stressed that the government’s goal is not merely reopening schools but ensuring quality education, a safe learning environment, and a modern curriculum aligned with contemporary needs.
