The death toll from a suicide blast during a wedding ceremony in Dera Ismail Khan has risen to six, officials confirmed. The explosion occurred near Qureshi Mor, targeting a residence linked to a local peace committee leader.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi sought a detailed report from authorities and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives. Several injured victims were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital for treatment.
Law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and launched a comprehensive investigation to determine the nature of the attack.
The governor directed officials to ensure the best possible medical care for the injured and strengthen security measures across the district.
